EDID Champion Program

Achieving equity and inclusion depends on a shared commitment to creating a community where everyone is valued. To strengthen this collective effort, the Office of EDI launched the EDID Champion Program; to bring our community together and deepen connections between EDID advocates and equity‑deserving group members.

What is an EDID Champion?

EDID Champions are committed allies who help shape a culture where all students, staff and faculty feel valued, respected and included. By actively promoting equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization, they play a vital role in creating more welcoming environments and advancing meaningful, lasting change across Western.

Who can be an EDID Champion?

EDID Champions are students, staff and faculty at Western who actively advocate for creating inclusive and welcoming spaces across campus.
You don’t need to be an EDID expert to become a Champion. What matters most is your commitment to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization. Your enthusiasm and dedication can make a meaningful difference in building a community where everyone feels they belong.
