EDIDA Champion Program

Achieving equity and inclusion depends on a shared commitment to creating a community where everyone is valued. To strengthen this collective effort, the Office of EDI launched the EDIDA Champion Program; to bring our community together and deepen connections between EDIDA advocates and equity‑deserving group members.

What is an EDIDA Champion?

EDIDA Champions are committed allies who help shape a culture where all students, staff and faculty feel valued, respected and included. By actively promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and accessibility, they play a vital role in creating more welcoming environments and advancing meaningful, lasting change across Western.

Who can be an EDIDA Champion?

EDIDA Champions are students, staff and faculty at Western who actively advocate for creating inclusive and welcoming spaces across campus.
You don’t need to be an EDIDA expert to become a Champion. What matters most is your commitment to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and accessibility. Your enthusiasm and dedication can make a meaningful difference in building a community where everyone feels they belong.
