Progress and Timeline
We're currently gathering updates from units across Western to highlight progress on equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization, and accessibility (EDIDA). We're looking for information on initiatives, actions, data and impacts already taking place in units at Western. Submissions will help inform the upcoming university‑wide EDIDA Strategic Plan Progress Report, scheduled for release in June 2026.
Together, we can demonstrate how our collective efforts are driving positive change across Western.

Timeline
February 2025: Department/Unit confirms their EDIDA Committee to Office of EDI
April 2025: Department/Unit shares their EDIDA Action Plan with Office of EDI
April 2026: Department/Unit shares their progress report and updates with the Office of EDI
June 2026: Office of EDI shares university-wide progress report with Western community
April 2027: Final report on Phase One EDIDA implementation
Fall 2027: Engage in consultations for Phase Two development
