Inclusion, Diversity, Decolonization, Equity and Accessibility Leadership Symposium

ID²EALS, the Inclusion, Diversity, Decolonization, Equity and Accessibility Leadership Symposium, was a province‑wide gathering designed to strengthen and advance EDI efforts across Ontario’s postsecondary sector.

Launched by our Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, ID²EALS was created in response to a growing need: while many Canadian institutions have recently established EDI offices, these teams are often new, evolving and working without a robust set of best‑practice resources tailored to the Ontario postsecondary context. ID²EALS brought leaders together to learn, collaborate and build shared capacity - moving beyond “learn as you go” toward meaningful, sustainable progress.

The inaugural ID²EALS took place May 22-24, 2024 at Western University in London, Ontario.

Symposium Format
