Leadership and Governance

At Western, EDI work is collaborative and intersectional which involves communication, collaboration and working alongside various departments, faculties and groups that exist on within the Western community.

Collaborative Groups

EDID Central Working Group

The EDID Central Working Group has been formed to provide advice to the AVP-EDI and share knowledge and wise practices across Western’s faculties, administrative units and student organizations to promote equity, anti-racism and accountability.

EDID Central Working Group

The President’s Anti-Racism Working Group (ARWG)

The ARWG was established to better understand Western’s campus climate – particularly from the perspective of ethnocultural racialized groups – and to make recommendations that aim to make Western a safer, more respectful and more equitable environment in which to study, research, work and live.
