Nana Ama Tiwaa-Boateng is currently a second-year Master’s student at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics under the supervision of Dr. Saverio Stranges and Dr. Isaac Luginaah. Before enrolling at Western University, she had 10 years of progressive work experience in public health and community development. She holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In her previous role as a Programme Officer with Sightsavers Ghana Country Office, she ensured the implementation of the DFID Ascend Project in Ghana. Her passion lies at the intersection of public health and data-driven research.

Her research interests align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 3, 5, 6, 10, and 17. She worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant under the direct supervision of Dr. Nitin Mohan, is a member of the Racial and Equity Inclusion Commission of the Society of Graduate Students (SOGS) chapter of Western and is one of the SOGS Councillors for the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She also works on the “Enhancing the Black Experience at Western” project as a Research Assistant. She believes in the transformative power of research to drive positive change and create inclusive environments.
