Award of Achievement in Anti-Oppression

The Award of Achievement in Anti-Oppression allows participants to reflect on systems of oppression towards Black, Asian, Muslim, and Jewish communities. Examine the current instances and impact of systems of oppression in the Canadian context. Learn new skills and become an ally to equity-deserving group members. Explore strategies and take actions to address oppression, contributing to building a more inclusive environment at Western and in our society. Reflect on current stereotypes and tropes toward members of different faiths and people of colour. After completing this Award of Achievement, you will better understand the harm stereotypes and myths cause to these communities.
