EDIDA Awareness Month 2025
EDIDA Awareness Month is a bold initiative led by our Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Western, dedicated to advancing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization and Accessibility across our campus. From late September to early November, join us for a dynamic lineup of in-person and virtual events designed to spark conversation, learning and allyship.
What is the theme for EDIDA Awareness Month 2025?
This year’s theme, I.M.P.A.C.T., challenges us to move from intention to action. We ask: What does real impact look like in the pursuit of equity?
I.M.P.A.C.T. stands for:
- Inclusion – Moving beyond representation to full integration.
- Mobilization – Coordinated action for equity and justice.
- Partnership – Co-creating with trusted community allies.
- Accountability – Committing to transparency and progress.
- Cultural Change – Reshaping institutional norms and narratives.
- Transformation – Embedding equity into everyday structures.
Whether you're a student, staff, faculty member or community ally, you're invited to be part of this movement for sustainable change. EDIDA 2025 is more than an awareness month - it’s a call to action.
A special thank you to our partners for your support and collaboration: Western Engineering, Western Education, Western Law, Western OutLaws, The Neema Child Project, Student Experience and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
